Message Notifications & Reply

In this article we'll go over how to get notified for incoming SMS notifications and how to respond to them. Important SMS Messages are not forwarded to the the to Call Handling for the Tracker. Instead they are emailed with our Notifications. Get Notified for New SMS Messages To get notified for incoming SMS Messages, create a Notification setting to send an email for incoming Messages. With the notification configured, an email will be sent for each inbound SMS Message with the message content and a link to the conversation where you can reply to the message. View Unread SMS Messages To view Unread SMS Messages, navigate to the "Messages" tab where you'll find a history of all messages and SMS conversations. By default, the list is sorted by "Last Updated", and it also shows unread message counts helping you stay on top of your ongoing SMS conversations.

Messages Overview

In this article we'll go over the main features of our SMS Messaging features and how to send and receive SMS Messages with your tracking numbers. Important SMS Messages are grouped into "Conversation" threads between your tracking number and the recipient similar to a phone groups your SMS messages together into conversation thread. All Messages To view SMS Messages, navigate to the "Messages" tab where you'll find a history of all messages and SMS conversations. By default, the list is sorted by "Last Updated", and it also shows unread message counts helping you stay on top of your ongoing SMS conversations. Conversation Details You can view and respond to messages in a familiar chat like interface where you can see your entire conversation history of previous messages you've sent to the recipient.

Message Tags

Tags are useful to categorize your message conversations to support your business workflow and reporting needs. See more about tagging in Tags Overview. Important Message Tags are applied at the "Conversation" level which means that all messages with the same number will get the same tags. Message Tags Add Tag to a Message Conversation Tags can be added to Message Conversations on the Conversations Details view. In the Conversation Details section you'll see tags input to select from available tags in your company. Choosing the tag will automatically save the tag to the conversation. Filter Message Conversations by Tags Message Conversations can be filtered by tags to support your workflow or reporting needs for a filtered export of your calls. Messages by Tag Report After adding Tags to message conversations, you can then also view a report of your Messages by Tag.
